&andcosta was founded by carlo zerbaro in 2000 after working for more than 20 years as a designer for well-known international design firms. since then &andcosta has rapidly grown from an italian start-up to an establiehed design brand with international research.

their technical expertise merges with influences from the eclectic arts and crafts scene of their region. their in-depth knowledge of materials and unbounded creative thinking are the foundation of creating a new perspective on Italian lighting design.

&andcosta is located inside the wallsof an  historical  textile mill building in thiene, 

40 miles east of venice , an evocated place sourrounded by the venetian pre-alps and home to the renaisssance architect andrea palladio.

the space is rich culture and artisanal craft traditions. where the past an dthe present represent the birth of the italian manufactoring industry.

the restoration of this mill building, with its industrial archeology, has preserved its existing structure, enhancing nd adopting its space to the requirements of our campany. 

the industrial architecture was skillfully restored and renovared and its 4000 sq meter of floorspace now host the campany's new administration offices, the graphics and desigm team, production and logistics, a photo studio, showrooms and meeting and work spaces a s well.
